The Presence of Children at Weddings
How mature the child is, troublemakers, behavior and so on
One of the first discussions in the free wedding planning guide brings up the presence of children at weddings and the fantastic contributions they may make to the general wedding
atmosphere.
However, it is critical that you take certain factors into account before bringing kids to a wedding, such as age, how mature the child is, troublemakers, behavior and so on.
If you would like to have one of the children take part in the ceremony, such as a flower girl for example, we will provide you with free tips to make sure that you include the children in your event in the most enjoyable way possible.
Children who are to young may not be able to participate
The first free tip suggests that you need to be aware of the fact that children who are too young may not be able to participate and even if their age is appropriate they will not definitely perform well on the task that you have designated for them at your wedding. The flower girls should be at least four years old and you must make sure that they practice their part many times before and on the wedding day.
You need to also remember that children may forget their roles and all of a sudden become very intimidated by the wedding and clam up.
Kids are cute and a joy - Don't be too hard on them
It might be best for an adult to escort the child down the aisle if he or she is especially shy. If a child screws up when performing the task feel free to laugh it off since that is probably what your guests will be doing. Kids are cute and a joy. Don't be too hard on them if they mess up at the wedding. Don't forget-they're only children.
Assign another adult to look after the youngters - him or her
Here's another wedding planning tip: If the kid is not accompanied by a parent you may want to assign another adult to look after him or her. It could be a close friend or member of the family. The guide also suggests preparing a little bag full of goodies and fun stuff so that the child won't have to look for
entertainment elsewhere. If the parents are at the wedding, you may still want to ask someone to watch the child for a while so that the parents may also enjoy the wedding to it's fullest.
Children are not as focused on the wedding as adults are
The wedding planning site stresses the fact that people tend to forget that they are dealing with children and that they are not as focused on the wedding as adults are. If they do something wrong try to keep your cool and maintain a calm composure. No need to become tense or scold them should they turn out to be imperfect or if they did not do exactly what you were planning. You should enjoy your wedding and so should the kids. there are a few things you need to be careful about. We will discuss them in the next chapter of the wedding guide.
