Now the basic idea of wedding party favors is that the newlyweds would like to show their appreciation for their guests participation in their wedding day. there are so many types of wedding favors and so many different styles.

every couple is different and that's why you need to choose a wedding favor that suits you and your unique partner. Even if you have a small budget that's designated for wedding favors-don't fret, There are plenty of wedding party favors that are creative and cheap, that can be wonderful gifts to your special guests.

The aristocratic and even middle class French party favors

I won't bore you with historical dates and my little anecdotes, but I will let you know that once upon a time weddings were considered a blessed day and the wedding favors were given to the guests so that they may take home a little bit of the wedding luck. The aristocratic and even middle class French and Italians would give their guests little boxes of candy or chocolate to take home from the wedding. The boxes were generally very beautiful made out of glass or metal, with designs and special handcrafted engraving. Sometimes the containers were even made out of china or decorated with pretty gems or stones.

Today People aren't as cool as they used to be regarding Favors

Many people would give almonds as Wedding Party Favors, wrapped prettily in a box or given in a nice netted satchel. Almonds were known to possess special qualities and offer the holder wisdom, health, happiness and a good sex life. Today people aren't as cool and the only way someone will eat an almond is if it's covered with candy and food coloring. But I guess they could also make for cute wedding favors. I wouldn't have that at my wedding, though. I would probably stick to chocolate. Or maybe chocolate covered almonds. In a porcelain box with roses on it.
